The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund
The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund was created in 2009 by family and friends of Dave, to honour his memory and to 'give back' to the community as he did daily in both his profession as a Police Officer and volunteer as a firefighter. Before his collision and untimely death, Dave and his partner, Brenda, raised the funds through a marathon to purchase a Defibrillator for the local Fire Department.
The Fund was created to honour those Police, Military, Paramedics and Fire persons who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and security we take for granted.
Upon the death of such a member, the Fund will be donating a Defibrillator to the local Emergency Services or Public School, at the choice of the family. The Fund looks to keep a low-key role in this endeavour, keeping the focus instead on the fallen service member.
