​Raquel Sofia

​Raquel Sofia, an artist based in London, Ontario has been dancing for over 15 years. She has trained as well as competed in various genres including: HipHop, Breakdancing, Ballet, Lyrical whilst specializing in Contemporary, Acrobatics and Jazz. Graduating from George Brown Dance Performance in Toronto, ON. Raquel currently teaches at Elan Dance Arts in Lambeth where her passion for dance

began, Raquel is both the recreational, and competitive Director at Elan Dance Arts, she has won numerous choreography awards throughout her career as EDA’s competitive Director.

After obtaining her Developmental Services diploma in 2022, Raquel created the EDA’s Shining Stars program. Elan Dance Arts’ Shining Stars program offers welcoming dance classes for students with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. Raquel is incredibly passionate about teaching her students, supporting

them along their artistic journey and most importantly ensuring that everyone feels included.

While growing up at Elan Dance Arts Raquel had experienced watching first responders participate in this event and is beyond thrilled to have the opportunityto be involved in such a wonderful event with such impactful individuals. 5678!
