"I was born in Exeter and raised on a vegetable farm south of Grand Bend. I received my BSc (Agr) from Guelph. Most of my career was buying and selling grain for different companies in SW Ontario. I retired about 3 years ago. I have been married to Toni for over 48 years. We have lived in a century home north of Sarnia, close to Lake Huron for 38 years. We have 3 children and 2 grandboys, who keep us young. We enjoy gardening, travelling, golf, curling and pickleball. I have been involved with soccer as a player, coach, administrator and referee. I hung up my referee cleats at the end of last season. I still do soccer clinics at our local Church in Camlachie for 6 to 8 and 8 to 10 year olds in the fall and winter. I have been a member of Alhambra in Grand Bend for 23 years. We raise funds to help developmentally disabled individuals and organizations in our area. In April, I will be completing my second 6 year term on the Friends of Pinery Park Board. My life has been blessed, especially on April 26, 2014, when my heart stopped at the BMO Centre in London, but was saved by CPR and an AED donated by the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund."
