Canadian Expeditionary Force (C.E.F.)

Private Rowe joined the Canadian Army at the age of 29 in the days of World War I. Rowe was one of three brothers from the Exeter, Ontario area. Rowe served overseas during the war as a soldier with the Canadian Army where he caught pneumonia, likely during the Influenza Epidemic of 1918-1919. Sadly it is estimated that over 70 million persons, including soldiers, died from the illness.
